The season is starting, how are your wheels?

Seasonal wheel replacement is the best time to comprehensively take care of rims and tires. First of all, because these elements will be dismantled from the car, and this is an unusual opportunity to get to all nooks and crannies without unnecessary gymnastics. Check out our seasonal wheel preparation guide!

Get ready for work

For starters, make sure that you can work comfortably and safely with the wheels. Remember to never put them on concrete, paving stones and other hard surfaces, because it is easy to scratch and damage the rims.

Pre-wash

It is worth starting with a thorough pressure washing of the wheels to remove loose dirt. Once you've done that, it's time to pre-wash. Reach for Stain Cleaner and spray it generously on rims and tires, let it bite into the dirt for a few moments, then add a dose from the atomizer and use a brush to foam it well over the entire surface. This will soften the hard-set deposits. Rinse off the residue under pressure.

Decontamination

Pre-washing will reveal all persistent contamination on the rims: metallic particles, asphalt, traces of lubricants, volatile rust and the like. Here you need real strongmen to work and it is worth working with them one by one. For the first fire Iron Terminator, which will dissolve brake dust, rust deposits and metallic particles deeply embedded in the paint of the rims. Help yourself by reaching for the Kamitore rim brush and brush and focus especially on the inside of the rims. It may turn out that one session with Iron Terminator is not enough and the treatment will have to be repeated.

Once you have removed the deposits of metallic origin, it's time for the remaining stubborn traces of tar, glue, lubricants and the like. This is where New Pitch Cleaner comes in handy. It's an agent that evaporates quickly, so it's best to soak a microfiber in it and use it to work on dirty places.

Can the task be considered completed? Glinka will tell you the truth! Rinse the rims thoroughly after the previous treatments and, giving the clay a slip, work exactly as on the paint of the car. Be sure that the clay will not have an easy task and its surface will quickly collect a lot of dirt. Knead it often and reach for a new piece if necessary. Finally, rinsing and drying. Is it the end?

Protection!

If you decide to use protection, and it's definitely worth it, add one more element at the preparation stage - Silicone Off! It degreases the surface of the rims and perfectly prepares them for bonding with its protection. And what to choose for protection? There are four ways:

Quick Detailer. Choose any of our offer, and it will be the simplest protection for your rims. However, you must reckon with the fact that durability on these elements will not be high. Or maybe…

Rain Drop! Trivial in the application, because you only need a wet microfiber to spread it and a dry one to reach the residue. Durability? It will definitely beat the QDs.

Wax. It's a very easy task, and the process itself is no different to waxing paint. Surely you also have wax in your arsenal. If you reach for Fusso Coat 12 Months, you have a great alternative to…

Coating. QJUTSU Wheel Coat is our proposal for those looking for an uncompromising solution. The application requires more attention, but if you do it, why not properly? You can then count on 12 months of shelf life, which is already an excellent result.

The icing on the cake, i.e. tire dressing

All this work would be nothing without luscious looking tires. Matt, satin, or maybe a clear shine? We will not make this decision for you, but we will give you all possible options. Check them out in ours  another text about dressings

and you will certainly find a golden mean for yourself!

Remember that the winter set of wheels you just took off the car also needs care ;)
