What should I know about Fusso Coat?
Few people know this, but Fusso Coat began its history in 1991 with its debut on the Japanese market. Waxes at the time were mostly based on silicones and other types of resins, which is why the novelty of using fluoropolymers was such a big hit. Fusso continues to use this technology today, going from a durability of 3 months on paint in 1990, to as much as 12 months offered today!
The new edition of Fusso Coat, which we launched in 2019, differs only slightly from the popular original, contrary to common opinion. We used a different type of solvent in the formula of the new Fusso, which reduced the unpleasant smell. Other than that, it is still the same formula, based on a safe PTFE admixture that guarantees 12 months of paint protection.
Ultra Glaco – is it worth it?
Ultra Glaco is a liquid wiper coming from the world of detailing that will benefit absolutely every driver and more, regardless of their proficiency in car care. Strong repellency of dirt and rain from the windscreen for 12 months does not only mean easier window cleaning or rest for the eyes (and the wipers). It means, above all, a dramatically improved visibility, and the ensuing increased level of safety and driving comfort. With Ultra Glaco we eliminate the feeling of eye fatigue, disliked by many, resulting from the monotonous work of the windscreen wipers. We see more, we strain our eyes less while driving, and the chance of a road hazard being obscured by a distorting droplet or sheet of water is reduced to zero.
Glaco Mirror Coat Zero – all about the product
Ultrahydrophobicity, i.e. a repulsion of water so strong that droplets slip off even from horizontally lying glass. This level of water droplet repellency is made possible by Glaco Mirror Coat Zero, a Soft99 coating.
This coating for mirrors and onboard cameras has proved so strong that it has been used in... scientific research! As published in the Nature journal, studies in the fields of physics or chemistry use our coating to investigate subjects such as slipperiness, drop contact angle or surface smoothness. We often get the question from fans of the brand: if Glaco Mirror Coat Zero is so good, why not apply it to the windscreen? It is of course possible, but as is often the case in the world of technology: you can’t have everything. Glaco Mirror Coat Zero's unique ultra-hydrophobicity is at the expense of sensitivity to touch. In some cases, a touch of a finger or even a pressurised water jet is enough to remove the coating from the mirror.
