Protection Time: why should you look after your car in autumn?

‘Why wash your car in autumn and winter if it's going to get dirty anyway?’ – this seems to be the attitude of many car owners in Europe. Evidently, they have not yet become familiar with Japanese Soft99 waxes and glass coatings, which give up to 12 months protection!

Autumn and winter make for a perfect time to broaden your horizons in terms of washing and prolonging the value of your car. This is one of the aims of the Protection Time campaign from Soft99, a Japanese manufacturer of car care products. Whenever conditions outside become difficult, we remind you that it’s a great idea to protect your car's paintwork and glass with our products. Why, you ask? Here are some good reasons.

You are getting ahead of winter

This is the toughest time for your car's paintwork, so why not offer it a helping hand? Protecting the paint with a coating or a strong wax like Fusso Coat 12 Months will keep your paintwork safe throughout autumn and winter. This is all due to the strong hydro- and oleophobic properties of this wax: road dirt, usually mixed with water or greasy deposits from exhaust fumes or brake dust, adheres much more difficult to Fusso-coated paintwork compared to unprotected cars. As a result, your vehicle will withstand winter conditions much better, even including the adverse effects of road salt, which weakens the uncoated paint.

You can stop worrying about driving in the rain

With Glaco, you see more and react faster. We highlight the road safety-oriented features of our glass coatings for a reason. A clean windshield is more than just a washed glass. With a deep cleaner, such as the industry-leading Glaco Glass Compound Roll On, we eliminate dirt embedded in the micropores of the glass and preparing it to bond to the coating. Like Fusso Coat 12 Months, Ultra Glaco, the bestseller among liquid wipers, is also a year-round protection, utilising the very same Fusso Technology. With a clean, water-repellent windscreen, we can see more; we are no longer bothered by heavy rain (which is blown away by the momentum of driving alone, without the need to use the wipers), and the coating makes it much easier to keep the windscreen clean.

You make spring cleaning easier

Protect now, enjoy later. The work put into protecting the paintwork and windows in the autumn will repay us during the first spring car wash, when expensive washing programmes or strong chemicals will not be needed to get the car clean. This will save you time, energy and money. And your car will thank you.

As we do every year, Protection Time is putting the incredible Fusso Coat 12 Months wax and top-of-the-range Ultra Glaco liquid wiper in the hands of car fans, all at a discounted price. If you're thinking of taking your vehicle's protection against harsh weather to the next level, and want to increase visibility and safety when driving in difficult conditions, be sure to check out this year's Protection Time.
